1. Overview
codeglobalize is a global software development consultancy headquartered in San Francisco, with operations in London and Singapore. We connect engineers, technical representatives, and strategic partners around the world with US client engagements. To do that responsibly, we collect and process personal information from candidates, partners, clients, and visitors to this website.
This policy applies to codeglobalize.com and any service we operate that links to it. It does not apply to third-party websites, including those of our clients, even when accessed through links we provide.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- —Information you give us — when you submit an application, book a call, send an email, or sign a contract. This includes your name, email, phone number, country and city of residence, work history, résumé or portfolio links, professional references, English proficiency level, and role preferences.
- —Information we collect automatically — when you visit our website, including IP address, device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies described below.
- —Information from third parties — including references you authorize us to contact, identity and background-check providers (for partner-tier roles), and public sources such as professional networks (e.g. LinkedIn, GitHub) when relevant to evaluating an application.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- —Evaluate applications and match candidates to suitable client engagements.
- —Run interview loops, screening calls, and reference checks.
- —Operate, maintain, and improve our website and internal tools.
- —Communicate with you about applications, engagements, payments, and contractual obligations.
- —Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations in the jurisdictions where we operate.
- —Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models without your explicit, separately granted consent.
5. Background checks for partners
The Strategic Partner role requires a verified clean employment background, since partners act as profile vendors for US engagements. With your explicit, separately documented consent, we (or a regulated third-party provider) may verify prior employment, tax compliance, and any work-authorization records relevant to US engagements. Information from these checks is used solely to determine eligibility and is retained only as long as legally required.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:
- —Application data for candidates not placed: up to 24 months, then anonymized or deleted.
- —Engagement and contractual records: as required by US, UK, and Singapore tax and accounting law (typically 6–10 years).
- —Background-check records for partners: only as long as required by applicable law.
- —Website analytics data: aggregated and retained for up to 24 months.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- —Access the personal information we hold about you.
- —Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- —Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- —Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- —Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- —Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@codeglobalize.com. We respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.
9. International transfers
Our team operates across the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Asia-Pacific. Personal information may be transferred, stored, and processed in any of these regions. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, vendor due-diligence reviews, and incident-response procedures. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Our services are intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided information, please contact us so we can delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or sent by email if we have a current address for you.
